as July goes by... :)

Before I start, here's a picture for Choo Choo to see!! Me and dearest Li Ying :)

We met up today in Subang Empire!! Different from back in UK ma? :) We can actually go sleeveless here!
Anyway, I feel much more inclined to blog properly now after the interview for a government post is over! Fingers crossed and please pray for me that I can pass the interview and get a job in a hospital near my home! For I love staying at home now, please don't uproot me for a second time this year. . .

So what happened in July? I can barely remember. . . Can't believe it has already been 3 weeks since I was home. Sure, I miss Glasgow, I miss London, I miss UK, but every fairytale must come to an end. At least I have the memories, but one musn't keep living in the past. . .

Hmm, I seldom bring my camera out nowadays, so whatever pictures I have are phone camera pictures, which are not too clear. Anyway it's bad to just let time pass by and not remember what I have done because that just means I didn't do anything worth remembering -.- so let's look at some pictures.
Went out with Hui Leng, Xin Wei, Hui Lynn, Abigail and Mei Chen at Paradigm Mall just 3 days after I was back. We had Starbucks which Xin Wei very kindly treated us! Pity half my drink had to spill, but I don't really mind, because it means less calories for me! Anyway Starbucks is so freakin expensive now, it used to be around RM 11-13 2 years ago but now it's RM 14-17. I won't go again unless it's half price or something. And somehow, I'm not as fond of frapps as I used to be. . . In fact, I'm not very keen on eating now, I wonder why. Just duwan to be fat, hehe. This was the first week of July.

Second week. . . I really can't remember what I did. Think I accompanied my mom most days and live the life of a tai tai, go look at diamonds, window shop, have tea with friends, it's really a very nice life; I want to find a husband who can give me this kind of tai tai life too. . . But I don't think I have that 福气.

3rd week, ah yes, I remembered I went to Wangsa Maju twice. First was to go meet Gaik Cheng, whom I haven't seen for a year! Y'know, with all the crime rates increasing lately, I was kinda apprehensive about taking the LRT to Wangsa Maju alone, summore I dress so crappy if I'm travelling on public transport. Deflect attention ma, hehe. I didn't know LRT uses tokens instead of paper tickets now! Such a noob. Cannot buy tix from the counter summore, have to buy from the machine. We had sushi at Festival City Mall! Which incidentally, I wasn't very excited about either. Shit, I used to be such a food person, what happened to me?!
Oh and I also visited Royal Selangor Pewter factory. I think this is a half-decent picture of me that doesn't look quite that fat. And my long hair.
The second time I went to Wangsa Maju was to try the burgers that people apparently had to wait 3 hours for. The only reason I have a picture of my burger was because I just wanted to see what was in it, as it was too dark there to see anything else (it's a roadside stall with only streetlamps for light). The burger was quite filling. But since I'm not a food person anymore, I can't say for sure if it's really nice or not. . .
Oh and I went out with Wen Jo too! She's the only person in the world I would go out at 10pm for. Because I'm a very paranoid person, I don't like to go out at night anymore due to all those crimes, unless someone fetches me and drops me home after. But anyway it was awesome catching up with my primary school best friend whom I haven't seen for 2 years. And I'm so glad I was persistent enough to keep asking her out even though we haven't talk for ages. But some friends, you just know that you shouldn't forget them. . .

This week I haven't done much because was nervous for the interview. . . So happy with those who remembered me mentioning it and wished me luck though! Of course, the one person whose words meant most to me I didn't hear from, but it's alright. . . I've switched my emotional investment to stories and drama! I am a TVB fangirl again! What to do, internet too slow to stream any English dramas, so I've taken to watch Astro and watch TVB shows with mommy dearest. My current favourite is Witness Insecurity! Super love the themesong, and Bosco is so yeng! Linda's character was likeable at first, but kinda annoy me afterwards. . . Can't she see that the guy has no interest in her whatsoever? But why she still thinks he's perfect and wait for him? Stupid stupid stupid. Just like someone I know. I don't want to ever be that stupid. I hope. I know the ending episode is out already but I haven't watch it. But I heard it's a pretty sad ending. Sigh.

I really have to go out and meet more people. Else I'm gonna start imagining Bosco is my boyfriend. Not that he isn't available now, poor him just broke up with his girlfriend. . .Okay la, I think I'm too sleepy because of all this nonsense. . . G'night!

This is such a nice song to dance to. And fall asleep to, which I will do soon, because I'm too sleepy to write more. . . :)

Since I came back, people have said various things about me. Some said I got darker, and they wondered why, because isn't Glasgow supposed to be sunniless and gloomy all the time? I think it's because of those few sunny days in London, I've been out too much and did not put any sunblock. Some said I slimmed down, or more like "shrunk"? I don't know... I suspect it's because my hair was so long it kinda dwarfed me and made me look shorter. But nvm, the happiest compliment I received was that my hair was nicer, smoother, when long!!! And they envy my long hair :) :) Then what did I go and do yesterday?
I CUT IT SHORT (because I felt that my long hair was too heavy, and anyway it's not that short, I told the hairdresser "medium" length), cut it nvm, if the newer hairstyle was nice, I wouldn't mind. But I freakin super dislike my hair now!!! Ask him to style it for me and it come out like UGHHHHHHH, GEIK SEI.
Very mang zhang when I look at myself in the mirror now.
This is just going to be a rant.
I am in no good mood to write a happy post.
Still grieving for my hair.
Sigh.
They say you never appreciate something until its gone, that is so true :(

storytime!

I went to Hogwarts!!

And Hogwarts was situated in the Scottish Highlands.

Studying at Hogwarts :)

Lalala.
Ok la, 2nd pic was at Glencoe. And the 3rd and 4th pictures were taken at a college in Oxford! (my dream uni, sigh) Balliol College.
What have I been doing so far? Been out with friends, accompany mummy high tea with her friends :) Eating! But I don't have so many cravings like in the past and eat less. Duwan fat.
Anyway, more pics to come!

P.S: I changed my smartphone screen protector, and the phone seem like new now! Should have gotten the clear plastic cover in the first place. . .Having a lot of fun playing with it again, changing my launcher! Let's just call it a new start =)

I love pictures of the Milky Way!! I reallllllyy want to lie underneath a clear night sky, watching the stars and just dreaming =)

Just smile :)

The internet speed, is killing me slowly. Proof? Guess how long it takes me to watch a 40 minute episode of Drop Dead Diva. 2 hours. I don't know why the video just loads until the 30th minute and stop. Then I'd watch until then, and have to wait again for it to finish streaming, which takes ages after that...

I wanted to post some pictures and blog about my last trip in UK - around London and Scotland - but I am too sleepy now. I'll only post one picture though, to remind myself how blessed I am.

When I left Malaysia 2 years ago to study in UK, I had 3 close friends send me off - Wen Jo, Xin Wei and Hui Lynn.
When I left Glasgow on my last day to take the train to London (because I was flying back from Heathrow), I also had 2 close friends send me off!! :) :)

:)

My last night in Glasgow.

Can't believe it has been 1 and 3/4 yrs.

There were ups and downs, but I only want to remember the ups, the fun times we had, the studying together, jokes... Didn't know I could be so attached to these group of people so so much...

Its not Glasgow I will miss, but the student life I had here with you guys. But life has to move on. Thanks for the memories!

Lots of kisses and hugs to Li Ying, Choo Wei, Zi Fen, Alex, Amy, Pei Ying, Hui Wen, Jeanie...

P.S: I know its weird that I haven't made any close local Scottish or English friends despite being here for 2 yrs, but oh well, I guess I am anti-social afterall..

P.P.S: Born To Die keeps playing in my head now, i wonder why..but i really miss the time i first listened to and got obsessed about this song..
