Just dreaming

Dreams....Reality. Why do people describe reality as cold and harsh, yet dreams are....ethereal? Too perfect, too good to be true. What is the difference?

I admit, the day I just touched down in Malaysia, life in Glasgow seemed like... a dream. But was it ever? Perfect? Happy? Or maybe there's just that glimmer of hope that life might always be better on the other side. But today I'm leaving, and now it seemed like my one month here, was just a dream. Maybe I've been pampered by my parents, more than usual, than any other time since I was away for 9 months. Maybe because being overseas isn't that perfect anymore, because I've just lost that thin thread of hope of staying there forever, hence, my mindset is completely changed. Because isn't that what humans do best? Looking on the bright side, burying and repressing the sad memories. I have an innate talent at doing that, because I can never be mad at people for long. I always forget, which can be good, or bad, it depends. Or maybe, people never appreciate what they have until it's gone. But I suppose what matters most is being happy, and surrounded by awesome family and friends. And I know I still have one more year of being with the loveliest people I know, studying overseas together. I miss you guys, Zi Fen, Amy, Alex, Li Ying and Choo Wei. I wonder if you missed me too?

On the other hand, I have the best friends ever here too, whom I know will be around in the near future to hang out with, and probably that's what brightens me up too. Thanks for the early birthday celebration (too early! I don't wanna be 21 so soon) and the pressie! I'm not sure if I can bring it over, I have way more stuff to bring over than I brought back before...ugh. Have I ever mentioned I hate packing?

P.S: I have spent way too much time indulging in stories about vampires, vampire slayers, death deities and the undead again. Why am I reading such rubbish?! And yet, I can't help myself reading until 3 or 4 in the morning even though I know they're complete rubbish. Vampires and humans can never be together, and maybe that's just what I like about them, because it mirrors my life of "being in love with someone so perfect that I can never be together with them". (no, not my primary crush laaaa) Maybe I have a flair for drama.

Yay! Reading is good though. I feel more romantic :D

Long-lost feelings

I want to have more days like last Saturday!! And there'll be more after I'm back next year okay Xin Wei and Hui Lynn? =) With Leng, Mei Chen and Abi as well if they're here.
adorable xin wei! stealing our drinks =p
kissy lynn
camwhore-ing
xin wei, teach me this angle of posing ok!
Before Glee 3D =p

The movie was nice. I'm not a Glee fan, as in I don't watch the series, but I like their covers. Britanny so hot omg! Wanted to see more of Kurt as he was my favourite but he didn't have much screen time. And in any case I like Blaine better now! Darren Kriss is yummy-licious. Especially since he is the Mini Warbler's idol! He so adorable!!! Anyway the thing I enjoyed most about our day was our talks after the movie! Remember we discussed how many times only the 3 of us went out? (which couldn't be helped when the others weren't free..) Let me see:
i remember this day the best! (because i remember i met you guys in one u after my really nice date!) 25 September 2009

we went to watch Ugly Truth at the Curve!      10 October 2009

our camwhoring in the bathroom after the Kaaroke session!!   26 October 2009

Thanks to FB, I know the three of us went out 3 times alone together in 2009! None in 2010, because the others were free then =D 2009 was my favourite favourite year since I came to uni. Especially the 2nd half. And not only because of these outings la. Because of something else which is gone already so no point to talk about it now. 2010 was fun as well but there was a vague undercurrent of sadness during June-August. But anyway I shall be fair and document all the times most of us were out together! I miss those feelings I had during that time the pictures were taken when I look back at them.

Yay! One day I will take all these pics to make a video of our friendship!! 9 years we've known each other! I know at times, some of you are not happy with me, and I'm not happy with you, but...when I look back at these pictures, it's still awesome that we still keep in touch and hang out even though I missed half my secondary school life with you guys..and even though I'm only back for a month, with 4 weekends, I still see you guys every weekend! Thanks for sparing the time to hang out with me. And I know I was emo last Saturday but thanks Lynn and Xin Wei for making me understand the true advice my friend gave me the night before. And I was listening to this song whilst I look at the pictures, Good Life by One Republic! I really miss the past...

Disappointed but so what?
When Plan A fails, there's always Plan B!
And Plan C, D, and so on.
Okay whatever, my point is, no use thinking of what isn't to be. I've tried my best and that's enough to count right? (at least I have my parents to support me [not in the financial sense, i mean my future plans] and they're the ones whose opinion matter most to me)

"Some dreams were meant to stay as dreams".
Primary school reunion last Sat night!
It was an outing that I didn't want to go at first, because someone I most looked forward to seeing already told me they won't be going. But okay, I went in the end just for fun since my parents had something on also, and unexpectedly I saw him. There's always that magical feeling with a first crush that time can't wash away, although I've never thought about him anymore since I knew he has a girlfriend. But!! He still makes my heart race =D We didn't talk but still...it's a nice feeling. My heart hasn't raced for a long time. Weeee. Don't think it'll race any time soon either. Heh. But I like to be romantic so I'll describe this crush as a dream that was never meant to be. In any case, I prefer him to stay a crush forever because he'll never be anything short of perfect from my dream of him as a crush.

Ugh, I still have so many things to do. Pack. And lose weight. But laziness is hampering me. I hate packing. And losing weight. . . . And I dread my flight back to Glasgow because I have a stupid 10 hour transit in Dubai! Ugh. What can I dooooooooooo????

Thoughts before bedtime

God, typing all these Mandarin words just took up twice the time I would have used for typing English. Anyway no special reason to use mandarin, just that some things are better expressed through Mandarin =) Adaptation. Hmm, after 2 weeks back home, I've grown accustomed to my old lifestyle again, such as watching television at night in the living room with my parents, sharing a room with my sister, eating mommy's home-cooked food. But the realization is dawning on me that these few weeks will really be my last true holiday at home, being a student and mommy and daddy's little girl, lazing around at home. =')
2 more weeks then my golden summer at home would be over. I will miss it. Next time I'm home, it won't be the same feeling anymore! Sigh. Time flies. My mood is exactly like the song below:

Such a sad acoustic version for an originally upbeat song by Taylor Swift! Thanks to my sister who recommended this version. And also a kinda sad story behind the 2 Youtube singers above. From the comments I gathered on youtube, they used to be pretty good friends who did videos together, but the above video was their last cover together. And since I'm kinda free nowadays, I watched all their previous videos, where they were very friendly with each other, but something happened between them, and that's why they stopped making videos together. And somehow you can see from the above video that their friendship wasn't the same as it was in previous videos. Oh well. Sigh. Don't know why but I just can't stop listening to the song. Perhaps the lyrics speak to me. Perhaps the atmosphere of broken friendship is familiar to me. Either way...
And you stood there in front of meJust close enough to touchClose enough to hope you couldn'tSee what I was thinking of
Drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rainKiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain'Cause I see sparks flyWhenever you smile

I'm on my guard for the rest of the worldBut with you, I know it's no goodAnd I could wait patientlyBut I really wish you would
Drop everything nowMeet me in the pouring rainKiss me on the sidewalkTake away the pain

Get me with those brown eyes, babyAs the lights go downGive me something that'll haunt meWhen you're not around

'Cause I see sparks flyWhenever you smile
Okay fine, too much sadness, so there's another happier song that I am listening to at the moment, which is Stereo Hearts! ~my heart's a stereo, it beats for you so listen close, hear my thoughts in every note, make me your radio, turn me up when you feel low, this melody was meant for you so just sing along to my stereo~
And I have a new obsession! I know this is a pretty old show, at least 1 year old, but since Wah Lai Toi is showing it, I can't help but fall in love with 公主嫁到. Love their colourful and pretty costumes, and the light-hearted comedy. Period costume dramas have always been my favourite type of drama. And the themesong is so happy! It makes me happy too:)

Enjoy the rest of summer!

Road-trip

Disappointed, broken-hearted, emo. What cures all this? A road-trip to Penang! Food, friends and fun :) I freakin spent nearly an hour to transfer photos from my hp to the laptop because the stupid stupid bloggerdroid app won't publish. Ugh. And my finger's pain. And my butt's pain due to the 4 hour drive. And I'm currently obsessed with Angry Birds! The game I mean :) I finished the Poached Eggs game during the trip, hehe. Okay, back to the trip. Thanks to May Hwa for being the driver who drove us safely to Penang and back, Amy for being photographer and Jeanie for being such an awesome tour guide and also finding us accomodation at her grandma's place. I only contributed the presence of my fat face and round tummy. Really like pig already lah! Sigh. We went to Hard Rock hotel, camwhored on the beach, and even made a short trip to Kek Lok Si, but it was too hot to go up. >.<

However the best part of the trip isn't the food, it was seeing dearest Michelle! *shhh tell you a secret, she was the one who partially helped me decide to come back here; she's always right* We didn't talk much but just her company is enough :) and her 2 medic guy friends very funny lah! Especially when we nearly got lost in her car when the GPS wasn't charged properly (inside joke) ahaha. Went hunting for roadside rojak and lok-lok. Hehe.

Pictures! My camera's being repaired so all photos were taken with my handphone. SG SII :)
too expensive to go in, so we posed outside

nyahaha my favourite picture. *hope she didn't notice me secretly taking this photo!* :P
Blogspot is driving me crazy each time I post a post with photos because nothing will lay-out properly! Luckily Choo Wei keeps me half-sane as I am doing this post. Deep breaths, calm down Kit Yee. Stop feeling so restless and just go to sleep now.

P.S: I love my new handphone. Don't blame me if I go crazy tweeting photos because it is just toooo convenient than blogging like this, where just posting photos drives my blood pressure up everytime.
P.P.S: Prepaid hotlink is freakin expensive! I had RM 24 last week, now only RM5 is left. And I don't even have 3G to whatsapp all the time. Just sms.
