bored

when i stop blogging for sometime, it usually means i'm either happy/at peace/bored because there is nothing happening to blog about. :D so really, not blogging is a good sign for me :) but i'm too bored now so...

Eclipse is coming out! but as i said, Vampire Diaries killed my buzz for Twilight already..i now think that Twilight movies are over-rated, and Twilight fans scare me :O i look at Robert Pattinson and wonder what did i ever see in him..Mei Chen said before that i always change my guy crushes, i guess it's true..i'm never loyal *gasp* i wonder if it will apply to my real life..hmmm

so many environmental and natural disasters now, what with the Mexican Gulf Oil Spill and Hurricane Alex..but hurricanes are normal right? the Mexican Gulf Oil Spill however is the largest oil spill in history to date though (yes, i only bothered to find out all about this oil spill because my darling Ian Somerhalder is very actively raising awareness about it) and it pains me to see all those pictures of marine life drenched in oil, or the beautiful waters covered in oil. and it makes me wonder, will the world really end in 2012 as predicted? i'll only be 22 then, and there are so many things i have not done..for example, i have not

1. visited Ireland (which i want to do)
2. earned at least 1 million
3. been in love (like truly in love, or is love those times when one likes someone so much that their faults are invisible to them? hmm, if so, i've been in "love" 3 times, but all unrequited? sadly)
4. been kissed/snogged/make out
5. have sex (ahem, would i wanna die a virgin? that's a thought, HAHA)
6. have children
7. get married
8. be a "doctor" (as in get a PhD..i think it's quite cool to be called Dr. :D)
9. have grandchildren
10. travel the world
11. do charity, help people, volunteer (sad to say, i havn't done anything really memorable in this area, the most is only visiting homes and talking/entertaining people there..for now, what i feel like doing is helping with the oil-cleanup from the Mexican Gulf Oil Spill..or at least caring for those poor animals who got drenched in oil-slick)

i guess it boils down to what life really is all about, and what your priorities are. actually what i listed above are what most people would miss doing, the so-called life-changing experiences, eg being a mother, falling in love, etc..but you can't miss what you never had right? i wouldn't..so although it might be a pity if i were to die before i've experienced any of the above, i probably wouldn't miss it. to me, enjoying life, achieving goals are what is most important to me. and life is already pretty good with a great family (i couldn't ask for a better one) and awesome friends. plus good food. :D and i don't mind being ME after all. everybody is different, everyone has flaws as well as good points, so as long as i know that i can give people happiness, happiness which they would never have if i never existed, that's good enough for me. so randomly giving up a seat in the lrt to an elderly or a mother with a toddler, giving strangers the time of day by smiling at them or answering their questions about directions, helping out friends with their assignments (techinically, i'm not giving them happiness, but hey, i'm relieving their stress! so that's got to be something to be happy about right), helping my family out, cracking dirty jokes (because dirty jokes usually ARE funniest, else why do comedians who crack such jokes get the most popularity), listening to friends when they have a problem, basically just feeling needed, makes me happy and not regret life thus far. that's why they say, giving is always better than receiving, it's true.
